Characteristics and Sound Properties
17 cm (6.5") ceiling speaker with a corrosion-resistant grille (RAL 9010), suitable for installation in suspended ceilings of any kind. Quick snap-in mounting due to round ceiling cut-out through which the speaker, transformer and mounting ring can be installed. The attractive grille is quickly and conveniently fixed with a bayonet locking mechanism. Any volume adjustments necessary are carried out by a simple spring clip mechanism.
The DL 18/1 F is equipped with an integrated fail-safe mechanism which ensures that a burnout in one loudspeaker does not lead to a failure in the entire system of connected speakers.
The loudspeaker is equipped with ceramic terminals, a thermal fuse and a heat-resistant high-temperature wiring so that it conforms to both Dutch (NEN 2575) and British (BS 5839) regulations for alarm systems. Ceramic terminals for rapid connection to the 100 V mains. A second terminal enables the wiring to be looped through to the next speaker. The cable clamps supplied ensure the incoming cables of 8, 12 or 16 mm diameter are firmly held. These loudspeakers are also fitted with a series capacitor for monitoring the circuit.
