Characteristics and Sound Properties
17 cm (6.5") ceiling speaker for PA installations with A/B wiring according to EN 60849. Fitted with a full-range speaker with dual voice coil, two 100 V transformers and two fire-proof ceramic terminals with thermal fuse (fire damage at the speaker does not affect the function of the entire system). Corrosion free grille (RAL 9010), suitable for the installation in suspended ceilings of any material. Quick snap-in mounting due to round ceiling cut-out through which the speaker with transformer and mounting ring can be installed. Connection to the 100-V-network by means of screw terminals, level adjustment with plug-in contacts at the transformers. A quick-mounting bayonet connection provides an easy installation of the grille.
DL 18/1 AB can be supplied painted in other RAL colours on request. Speaker cabinet systems for concrete ceilings are available. Fire protection housing systems are also available.
Typical applications:
- For fitting in hollow ceilings, for music and speech in shops, at home, hotels etc.
- For PA installations with A/B wiring according to EN 60849
