D2B Interface for Keeping the Factory Amplifier

If you are replacing a head unit in a Mercedes Benz with the D2B Optical Bus System head unit (for example, Comand 2.0 and Comand 2.5) you may need one of these interfaces to allow the new radio to send the audio to the factory Bose amp. This saves having to rewire the car and fit a new amplifier and / or speakers. Note any other devices on the D2B network will not function, you may need to bypass them, see related item Fiber Optic Connector D2B at bottom.

General:

• Interface for vehicles with the original D2B Optical Bus system such as Audio 10, Audio 30, Comand 2.0, Comand 2.0 W220 and Comand 2.5 head units.
• Allows high quality audio via stereo RCA to be fed into the D2B fibre network.
• Note the fader will not work, though you can still use the balance.
• Note: Not compatible with MOST fibre optic systems (Comand APS NTG1, NTG2 or NTG2.5 etc.), see our other interfaces.
