This unit retains the VW OEM rear view camera when upgrading to an aftermarket radio. The adapter allows your factory VW camera to continue to be used with any standard aftermarket radio with reverse screen display and RCA input, or the Dynavin VW units. Plug and play, no cutting wires required! Note: if your vehicle is from the MQB platform like Golf 7, you do not need an adaptor.
